We’re excited to begin moving forward on a new development coming to the City of Tucson. Eons Expos LLLP, owners of the 22nd Street Mineral & Fossil Show, recently acquired a downtown parcel from the city, with plans to build a $12 million, 150,000-square foot exhibit hall.
The 6.5 acre parcel is located just north 22nd street along the east-bound I-10 frontage road. According to Lowell Carhart, Eons Expos Co-Owner, they have been running the 22nd Street Mineral & Fossil Show under tents since 2011.
Perry Engineering will be providing boundary survey, hydrology, grading and paving plans, storm water pollution prevention plan (swppp), utility plans and the final platting of the project and its condos.
This new building, designed by Architect Rob Paulus, will give owners the opportunity to own “business condos” on the first two floors of a proposed 3-story exhibit hall. The third floor will serve as a year round event space, except at the time of the show as it will host a high-end annex of the 22nd Street Mineral and Fossil show.
